NYFEST COVID Response: Supporting America SCORES New York
During this time of uncertainty, the partnerships that have developed with integral members of the NYC community have been vital. NYFEST's commitment to bringing together entertainment and soccer communities has been the backbone of their annual event. Despite its inability to go forward on the original date, Saturday April 18th, NYFEST has graciously extended its support to America SCORES New York and Play Proud, the NYFEST20 charitable partners. We are grateful for partners who are committed to the young people in our communities and we are looking forward to the day that we are all reunited on the soccer fields once again.

"Dear NYFEST Friends & Family:
We hope each of you and your loved ones are safe and healthy and finding creative ways to get through this very difficult moment in our lives.
As we approach what would have been our 9th gathering for NYFEST on April 18th, we’ve been thinking a lot about the reason we created NYFEST in the first place - which was to bring together the entertainment and soccer communities for a day of fun as well as to help the underserved in our respective communities and those in need.
So as we shelter in place and wait to see when we can all get back together on the pitch and elsewhere, NYFEST will extend its support to both the entertainment and soccer communities by making donations to two initiatives that are close to our hearts and also happen to be our NYFEST20 charitable partners, America SCORES New York ( www.americascoresnewyork.org ) and Play Proud (https://streetfootballworld.org) . In addition, because so many of us in the film industry rely on movie theaters not only for our pleasure but also for our livelihoods, we will be making a donation to Art House America (https://www.gofundme.com/f/Art-House-America) a Go Fund Me campaign to help independent movie theaters survive this crisis.
As we come together and stand strongly side by side during this time, we ask you to consider joining us in giving directly to one of these extremely worthwhile initiatives.
