Adam Freeman named as new ASNY board Chairperson

The Board of Directors of America SCORES New York is delighted to announce that Adam Freeman has taken up the role of Chairperson following a unanimous vote last week.

Since joining the organization in 2016, Mr Freeman has been a highly energetic contributor to the growth of ASNY and he was recommended for the role by outgoing Chair Dean Smith who will remain on the Board.

“I am extremely grateful for the leadership that Dean provided to the board during his tenure as chairman. I look forward to taking on this new challenge and working with the board as we continue to support the growth and development of this wonderful organization.”

Mr Freeman is a Vice President at Cohesive Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm, where he is responsible for the evaluation, execution and ongoing monitoring of a portfolio of investments in a variety of industries.

Prior to joining Cohesive, the Chicago-native worked at Madison Dearborn Partners in Chicago and began his career at UBS Investment Bank in the Global Industrials Group. He graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Economics and received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

An avid fan and recreational player of soccer since a young age, Mr Freeman previously served on the Board of Directors of America SCORES Chicago prior to moving back to New York.

Meanwhile, Ronny Scardino (Goldman Sachs) and Retta Abraham (RBC Capital Markets) are the newest members of the Board of Directors of America SCORES New York having been unanimously voted in last week.

“We are excited to welcome Ronny and Retta, and look forward to the contribution of their experience and insights to the Board,” added Mr Freeman.
