And the Winter Cup 2018 Champions Are...

On Sunday, America SCORES New York held it's annual Winter Cup at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan! Twelve corporate teams came together to compete for the Championship trophy and to support America SCORES NY at one of our biggest fundraising events!

The cold was fierce, but the competition was fiercer with all twelve teams in both Divisions fighting tooth and nail to take home the Cup. Division 1's roster consisted of Tradeweb, Fitch Ratings, Credit Suisse, Eisner Amper, Runner-up VanEck, and Champions Societe Generale, and HBO, CPC, Deloitte, Thomson Reuters, Runner-up Grant Thornton, and Champions Hudson Sutler making up Division 2!

Each team played at least four games, and what crazy games they were! Tradeweb and Eisner Amper made it to the semi-finals, only to be defeated by Societe Generale, who led Division 1 with an undefeated streak, narrowly beating VanEck for the Cup. The Division 2 competition was just as tight, with Thomson Reuters and CPC just missing out on the Final. Grant Thornton gave Hudson Sutler a run for the Cup, ending the Final game in a penalty shoot-out where Hudson Sutler proved victorious!

After some friendly competition, the teams headed down to the Chelsea Bell for some well-deserved celebratory snacks, team bonding, and our awards ceremony hosted by Junior Board Members Tara Doyle, Mike Madarasz, and Samantha Schiff!
